Noxivision — Crafting AI-Asstsed Marketing Briefs with ChatGPT

Part 4: Noxivision — Crafting AI-Assisted Marketing Briefs with ChatGPT.

Date published: 28/02/2024

Introduction:

In the fourth part of our series on AI assistance for pharmaceutical marketing, we challenged ChatGPT to make marketing briefs and strategies.

In the ever-evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, businesses are constantly exploring innovative ways to streamline processes and enhance productivity. One intriguing avenue is the integration of AI into marketing strategies. In this article, we delve into our experience of testing ChatGPT's ability to generate a comprehensive marketing brief - a crucial element in the process of a product launch..

Testing the waters:

After successfully creating a fictional product Noxivision and finalising the campaign designs, our team decided to put ChatGPT to another test. The goal was clear: evaluate how well this AI language model could handle the task of crafting a Marketing Brief.

For the brief, we needed essential components such as a Product Overview, Key Features and Benefits, Key Messaging, and defining the Target Audience.

The Challenge:

Before diving into the experiment, there was a key question – could ChatGPT effectively capture the nuances of our product and industry-specific language? To answer this, we needed to see if the AI model could seamlessly generate a product overview that encapsulated the essence of our creation.

The Process:

To initiate the test, we input all the information we previously created for Noxivison in our product development phase. This included details about the product's functionality, unique selling points, and the intended market. With bated breath, we waited to witness ChatGPT's ability to synthesise this raw data into a coherent and detailed marketing brief.

The Outcome:

Much to our surprise, ChatGPT not only met but exceeded our expectations. Within a short span, it produced a comprehensive marketing brief that covered every aspect we had fed into it. The product overview was articulate, capturing the essence of the offering. The result given for the Key Features and Benefits demonstrated an impressive grasp of the product's intricacies.

Comparing with Human Input:

The true litmus test for ChatGPT was comparing its output with the work we conventionally do on a day-to-day basis. Surprisingly, the AI-generated marketing brief held its ground against human-crafted documents. It exhibited a similar level of detail, clarity, and persuasiveness.

ChatGPT is already useful for this type of task and has great potential in future for ever-increasing efficiency gains. As is always the case with technology, however, the output depends on the user inputting accurate information and prompts to create relevant outputs for your goals.

With the right knowledge of how to use ChatGPT or other platforms it can be the perfect AI-assistant to streamline your day-to-day tasks – so that you can focus on the bigger picture.

Implications for Future Use:

The successful outcome of this experiment opens up a realm of possibilities for integrating ChatGPT into our marketing workflow. The time saved in generating a comprehensive marketing brief can be channelled into other critical aspects of campaign planning and execution. It also prompts us to explore further use in cases where ChatGPT can enhance our efficiency.

We have only scratched the surface of the ways in which AI can work hand-in-hand to assist in planning and strategy for a pharmaceutical campaign!

Conclusion:

As AI continues to redefine the boundaries of what's achievable, our experience with ChatGPT in creating a marketing brief underscores its potential impact on the marketing domain. The experiment not only showcased the AI model's capability but also hinted at a future where human-AI collaboration becomes the norm, rather than an exception in the dynamic world of marketing.

AI could be your new best friend when it comes to marketing.

It can make your life easier and more productive by providing guidance on where to start building your strategy, acting as your editor to help you rewrite sentences, write new perspectives, and even the first lines of a blank page. And when you're stuck thinking of subject lines for your newsletter, AI has got your back. It can generate ten of them in under a minute!
